Stupid Greeting Cards

Have you ever noticed the plethora of stupid greeting cards?

The other day I was looking for a Birthday card for my dad. Now Im not sure about all towns, but the Walmart we have in my home town happens to have three 20 foot long by 5 foot high aisles dedicated solely to greeting cards.

Now if we do a little math here, 20 feet wide is 240 inches and 5 feet tall is 60 inches. Lets just say the average card is 5 inches high by 7 inches tall. So 240 inches divided by 5 inches per card is 48 cards side by side. Now 60 inches tall by 7 inches per card equals out to about 8 cards tall which actually becomes 16 cards tall because the cards are stacked in front of each other about ½ way up the card behind it.

So,
   48 cards wide
X  16 cards tall
----------------
=  768 cards... Per aisle.
X  3 aisles
----------------
=  2304 separate cards

How many decent cards do you think I found out of those 2000 cards?

Two.

That’s .001 percent.

Here is an Example of what I’m talking about found under the Birthday-Humor section: There are two dogs on the front of the card. The caption inside the card reads "I double dog dare you to have a happy birthday."

WHO THINKS THIS STUFF UP?!?

Are there actually people out there that find these cards funny? Who gets paid to think up these cards? Who approves these cards? Where do I sign up to get paid to think of stupid greeting cards???
